Delta Gamma

About The Foundation

The Delta Gamma Foundation fosters lifetime enrichment for members, promotes Service for Sight and partners with the Fraternity to ensure the future of our sisterhood. Dedicated members and friends make this mission possible through philanthropy, service and generous gifts which support the Foundation’s three signature programs: Service for Sight, Grants to the Fraternity for Leadership and Educational Programming and Grants to Individual Members.

Two Organizations, One Delta Gamma:

We are one Delta Gamma, but in accordance with Internal Revenue Code, the Foundation and Fraternity are two separate organizations. In 1951, the Delta Gamma Foundation was formed as a complement to the Fraternity, creating a vehicle for members to promote the educational interests and social responsibility referenced in Article II of the Fraternity Constitution. Each entity offers unique opportunities for our members to “Do Good.” To see how we are living out this motto, view the most recent annual impact report and 990 Report.

The Foundation is governed by the Delta Gamma Foundation Constitution and Articles of Incorporation, the Convention and the Foundation Board of Trustees

Make a gift to the Delta Gamma Foundation to support our three signature programs.

In 1873 our three Founders adopted the motto “Do Good.” Delta Gammas live that motto daily through our philanthropy work, our dedication to our sisterhood, and our work with our universities and communities.

Delta Gammas everywhere did over 240,642 Service for Sight volunteer hours this past year, one volunteer at a time, each leaving her mark on the world and raising over $500,000 . Collegians embrace our mission and lend their energy and enthusiasm to the cause. As we enter the biennium, each Delta Gammas 153 collegiate chapters host Anchor Splash® to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation. This competitive swim meet for sororities, fraternities and campus organizations include events ranging from the serious to the zany.

Collegians compete in synchronized swimming, relay races and individual competition. Collegians and alumnae participate in service and fund-raising projects in hundreds of ways. They work with individuals who are blind and organizations, which serve them.

Together our members host Beautiful Eyes® contests, duck races, house and garden tours, flower sales, gift-wrap sales, and Christmas tree sales. They collect Campbell's labels to be exchanged for equipment for our Delta Gamma schools and General Mills Box Tops for state schools for the blind to be redeemed for needed equipment. The list of activities is long; our pride is great.
